Ricky was born in Colorado but has lived all over the US. He caught the acting bug at an early age, playing the Immigrations Officer in his 4th grade play, "The Fifty-Nifty United States". Born from immigrant parents, hard work was emphasized over "Art", and so he was unable to pursue his acting career until after finishing his Bachelor's Degree at Colorado State University. Upon graduation he moved to Los Angeles to pursure his life as an Actor.
He is currently a member of SAG/AFTRA and has appeared in tv shows such as "JAG" and "Bones", as well as the feature film, "Get Smart". He recently obtained his MFA in Acting for Television, Film and Theatre at California State University- Los Angeles. He is currently the Artistic Director and Founder of the Circle Squared Collective, a a theatre company that seeks to bring diverse voices to a new generation of audience members.
His short term goals include being able to support his theatre "habit" by working consistently in TV and Film. His long term goals include no less than being the first Asian American to win an Academy Award in the categories of Lead Actor, Director, and Best Original Screenplay Writer. When is he is not acting or directing, he teaches and coaches student and professional actors. He would love to appear on the TV shows, "Star Trek: Discovery", "The Passage", "Legion", and "Westworld". He is currently seeking theatrical representation.
